STEP 1 - How to measure your ring size
Finding your perfect ring size can be straightforward with the right methods. Whether you're buying a ring for yourself or as a gift, knowing your size ensures a comfortable and stunning fit. Before you begin, review the tips below to ensure accurate ring size measurement.
MEASURING TIPS:
- Measure your fingers at the end of the day when they’re at their largest.
- Cold weather can shrink your fingers up to half a size, so make sure they’re warm.
- Alcohol and salt can make your fingers swell, so refrain from measuring them after cocktails and appetizers.
- Tapered Fingers (wide base, narrow tip) require a snug fit to prevent the ring from falling off.
- Knotted Fingers (wide knuckles) need a ring that fits over the knuckle but stays secure at the base. Sizing beads can be added to keep the ring in place and are easy to adjust.
- Wider bands fit tighter than thinner ones. When estimating size with another ring, choose one with a similar design to the ring you intend to buy.
- The most common women's ring size is N ½, and the most common men's ring size is T ½.
- Dominant hands are usually slightly larger. Keep this in mind when buying for the left hand.
* If in-between sizes, please choose the ring size that is closest to your circumference.

5 Secret Ways to Find Someone's Ring Size
If you want to secretly find out your friend’s, partner’s, or loved one’s ring size to surprise them, look no further. Our guide offers five quick and easy methods to determine their ring size without directly asking them.
This approach can be risky but also surprisingly accurate:
- For small and slender partners, consider ring sizes H or I for women, and around N for men.
- For average height and build, consider sizes around L ½ for women and Q for men.
- For above-average height or build, around N for women and T for men.
If you have friends or co-workers of a similar build, ask to measure their fingers for a rough estimate.
Alternatively, bring a photo of your partner’s hands to the jeweler for additional visual clues.
Wrap a string or strip of paper around their finger while they sleep or when they are distracted.
Measure the length and compare it to our ring size chart.
Ask a close friend or family member to subtly find out their ring size.
Sneakily borrow a ring they wear on the intended finger and use our free ring size guide to measure it.
Take them jewellery shopping "for fun" and note the size they try on.
